Faxio (operated by Bear Labs LLC) is built around one principle: your documents are yours. We only process them to deliver your fax.

What we collect

An anonymous device identifier (no account or email required), the documents you upload for transmission, recipient fax numbers, and delivery metadata (status, timestamps). Payment details are handled by our payment processors and never stored on our servers.

How documents are handled

Uploaded documents are stored encrypted, used solely to render and transmit your fax, and are accessible only through your device identity. We do not read, sell, or share your documents.

Analytics

We measure which pages help people send a fax, so we know what to improve. Two tools do this. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless and collects no personal data. Google Analytics uses cookies and runs only if you accept them in the banner — decline and it stays off, with no effect on anything else on the site.

We also keep our own record of how visitors arrive (for example, the campaign tags on a link, or the site that referred you) and which steps they reach, tied to the anonymous ID this browser already uses to send faxes. It sets no cookies and stays on our servers.

Advertising

We advertise in ChatGPT. To learn whether those ads work, we tell OpenAI when a purchase follows an ad click: the click reference OpenAI added to the link, the purchase amount, your IP address and browser type, and a one-way hash of your billing email. OpenAI's measurement script runs only if you accept cookies in the banner. If you decline, we send OpenAI nothing about you. We never sell your data or share your documents.

If you leave your email for a delivery receipt, we use it for that fax only. If you also tick the box for tips and offers, we may email you about Faxio and may share a one-way hash of your email with ad platforms such as OpenAI to show you Faxio ads. Untick it or ask us at [email protected] and we stop.

Third parties

We use carrier-grade telecom providers to transmit faxes and cloud infrastructure to process documents. These providers act as data processors under our instructions.
